Way to go, Paly Thespians!

Theater students win big at CETA festival for Fall 2020 performances

Congratulations to our Paly Theatre students who competed in the California Educational Theatre Association’s virtual High School Festival last semester!  Students from over 50 high schools in the state participated; our students competed in three acting and two technical design categories.

Phoebe Berghout, Ryan Hwangbo, and Maya Mazor Hoofien won 3rd place statewide in Techworks for a One-Act play for their costume, sound, and hair and make-up designs for our fall production of Murder by Poe!  These three designers were also singled out as the Outstanding Design Team in their category for their cohesion, and adaptability to the virtual medium of the show.

Several of our students also received individual acknowledgements for their work!
